Today, I’m excited to share seven of my favorite tools to boost productivity. I hope this list sparks some fresh ideas to make your business journey even more efficient.

1. Google Calendar: This app isn’t just about marking dates and setting reminders. One feature I adore is the flexibility it offers for setting the duration of events. Unlike other calendars that stick to one-hour defaults, Google Calendar lets you choose durations ranging from 15 to 120 minutes! This saves a lot of time, especially if most of your appointments are shorter than an hour. Additionally, the “out of office” feature is a hidden gem. It allows you to block out entire days to keep them free of appointments. This is especially handy for holidays or personal days. The only drawback is that Google Calendar doesn’t offer travel time notifications, which I remedy by using Apple’s iOS calendar for reminders.

2. iOS Reminders: Speaking of Apple, the iOS Reminders app is a treasure trove. The recent iOS 16 update added hashtags and smart lists, making it even easier to categorize and find your reminders. Plus, with the app’s natural language input, setting reminders becomes a breeze.

3. iOS Notes: For notes and ideas, I’ve switched from Evernote to iOS Notes. Its ability to support hashtags and smart folders makes it ideal for organizing and retrieving your ideas quickly.

4. iPhone 13 Pro Max: As a solopreneur, having the right technology is critical. My iPhone 13 Pro Max is my trusty sidekick, storing everything from my email programs to my CRM. Its top-tier camera allows me to capture high-quality content for social media.

5. MacBook Pro: Equipped with the M1 chip, the October 2021 MacBook Pro is lightning fast. It’s a significant improvement from my older iMac, and it’s become an indispensable part of my toolkit. Plus, by storing everything in the cloud, I don’t have to worry about losing data if anything happens to my device.

6. Music Apps: You might be surprised to see music on this list, but I’ve found Apple Music and Focus@Will instrumental in keeping my concentration sharp. These services offer a variety of genres, including soundscapes and instrumentals, which are great for blocking out distractions.

7. Micro Breaks: Last but not least, taking regular short breaks is essential to maintaining your productivity. Whenever you start to feel overwhelmed, step away from your workspace for a brief three to seven-minute break. These micro-breaks can do wonders for recharging your mental energy and regaining your focus.

These are the tools I use daily to stay productive. However, I’m always on the lookout for new ones to try. So, solopreneurs, what are your favorite productivity tools? Feel free to drop your suggestions in the comments. Your insights could help me and other readers discover a new favorite tool!
