Happy New Year, everyone!
It’s 2024, and it’s the perfect time to start fresh and set some amazing goals.
Even if you’re reading this later in the year, it’s never too late to start.
Recently, I talked about this on a TikTok live, and I think it’s so important that I decided to share it here too.
Why New Year’s Resolutions Don’t Always Work
New Year’s resolutions – we’ve all made them, right?
“I’m going to lose weight,” or “I’ll quit smoking.”
But let’s be honest, most of the time, they don’t really stick.
Instead, what we need are real, specific goals that we can work towards throughout the year.
Setting Goals That Are Truly Yours
Your goals should be all about what you want to achieve, not what someone else wants.
They should be things that matter to you, whether it’s doing well in school or college, being better at your job, or personal things like going on a great vacation, starting to write a book, or getting good at TikTok.
I’ve been running every day since August 29, 2017.
That was a goal I set for myself and I achieved it.
What do you want to do in 2024?
It doesn’t matter where you live, how old you are, or what you do.
What matters is what’s in your heart.
Writing Down Your Goals
I can’t stress this enough – write down your goals!
And do it every day. This isn’t about copying what you wrote yesterday.
It’s about thinking about your goals and maybe even changing them as you grow and learn throughout the year.
I have goals like adding more subscribers to my email newsletter and growing my community.
I want to guest on other people’s podcasts.
I write these goals down every single day, and you should too.
Stretch Your Goals
Your goals should push you to do more and be better.
If you made a certain amount of money last year, aim higher this year.
As Steve Harvey says, “If you ever want to be successful, you’ve got to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.”
Happiness Over Money
Remember, more money doesn’t always mean more happiness.
It’s about finding what makes you truly happy.
This could be something that makes you feel good and also brings joy to others.
Don’t just read this and forget about it.
Think about what you want to achieve in 2024. I
f you have goals, great! Now, make sure they really challenge you.
If you don’t have goals yet, now’s the time to set them.
And remember, any day is a good day to start.
January 1st is just a date on the calendar.
Start today, or if it’s late, start tomorrow.
Make 2024 the year you really go for what you want and make every year your best year.
