Do you wake up every morning hoping for a miserable day? Of course not! You want each day to be remarkable. I’ve got some ideas for you to quickly implement into your day to ensure you have great days, seven days a week.

The first step is to CHOOSE to have a great day actively. Don’t just hope for it; hope is not a strategy. Make a conscious decision that you are going to have a great day.

Next, let’s talk about the ART OF SMILING. Not a creepy, forced smile, but a genuine smile. As a former professional photographer, I used to tell my clients to smile with their eyes. So when you greet someone, smile genuinely with your eyes. It can make a big difference.

However, there are some situations where smiling may not be appropriate, like when delivering bad news or in a serious setting like the court. Use your judgment wisely.

Another key to having a great day is to stay away from NEGATIVITY. There’s so much negativity today – social media, streaming, billboards, radio, TV, and even people you interact with at work or on Zoom calls. Negativity can drain your energy, so try to avoid it as much as possible. Surround yourself with positivity instead.

When I encounter negative people, I walk away and fill my heart, head, and soul with positivity instead. It’s incredible how much of a difference it can make in your day and overall attitude.

And lastly, HELP SOMEONE every day. You have skills and abilities that others may need help with, and it can be as simple as offering a kind word or lending a hand to someone in need. Helping others benefits them and brings fulfillment and joy to your own life.

So remember to have a great day every day, smile genuinely, avoid negativity, and help someone. You’ll be amazed at how your attitude and overall life improve beyond your imagination.
